I am on the administrative comity ofr the Pauline-Charron Centre, a bon-profit francophone centre for over 50 group, and as a fund raiser the drama group presents 2 plays per year. As a director on that comity and also as a stage director I would be interested in meeting someone in your association to discuss the possibility of borrowing older kilts and accessories for the next play which will be presented in November and takes place in the Highlands of Scotland.
I can be reached at the above mentioned email address or at 613-327-7488. Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rolande

I was looking for contact info. My Uncle was a Bass Drummer in the Camerons Pipe Band, he says 1940-41. He left to enlist with the Air Force, he became a tailgunner in a Lancaster. I am looking for a picture of him as he has nothing from this time except his memories. I am proud of my Uncle Bill, as I am with all servicemen who answered the call. His name is Willian John Shea, Aug. 28, 1925, from Windsor Ontario. Help me help a Veteran

Hi
I should have done this sooner. I was over in the UK a couple of years ago and had the opportunity to spend some time in the New Forest. I knew I was going there and I also knew there was a Canadian War Memorial there. It brought tears to my eyes knowing that our countrymen fought, prayed and died over there... it made me proud and sad at the same time. I spent some time standing in the memorial just staring at the site.
Please see the couple of pictures in the link above.
p.s My dad fought in WWII in the medical corp. Thank you to ALL our brave soldiers!!!!!!!

Was in the regiment in the mid 70's. I did the unspeakable and crossed the hall from the Guards. Actually two unspeakable things. I also turned down a chance to meet Prince Philip when I learned the Veterans would not be allowed into the mess. If they were not going, neither was I.
Some names from back then... Gerry Maitland, Jim McDonald, Dennis McNulty, SM Murphy, Mike Gilligan, Carol Spencer, Joyce Landry.
Those were shining times :)

Decent site; I would be happy to serve with you. My one recommendation would be to redesign this Guest Book page to put the sign-in box at the top, and limit the number of entries displayed on the first page to something less; as this page took a long time to load.

My grandfather Norman Angel and his brother Harold Angel were killed in the second world war. I know Harold was murdered along with 114 Canadians but which saddens me most is I have no idea about my grandfather which seems to make it harder every memorial day that passes. Norman son Albert passed on leaving a big hole in my heart not knowing the history of these great heros who if not for them and the rest of the brave women and men who sacrificed for us where would our freedom be. I am proud of their sacrifice but if anyone could give me information and maybe a picture I would be grateful beyond words. This would also help my son know of his brave family.
Thankyou

Let we not forget the sacrifice of the men during both wars. My uncle Albert Beauregard, who was a simple buck private, served during WW II. I do not forget the sacrifice that these men made. They left their youth in Canada to fight for democracy and they won the war. I am proud of my uncle's regiment. I would like to know if it is possible to have the regimental roll call and to see my uncle's name. I would be so proud. Thanks

My late father joined the Cameron Highlanders Reserve after serving overseas in WWII. I have his kilt etc and would like to wear it in his honour for a family celebration of my Mother's 90th Birthday. Would this be an issue or a break with protocol? Our family celebration is Nov 28th. If you could advise before that time I would greatly appreciate it. Cheers!
