What a delight! I had a hard time putting the book down, the story kept pulling me forward. There was never a dull moment or a part in the book where I thought ''let's just get on with it''. I was riveted! I also thoroughly enjoyed the ''history lesson'' which was expertly woven into the storyline. Your Irish Lads made me laugh, cry and kept me on the edge of my seat. I have only one regret: Why did the story have to end so soon. I'm hoping for a sequel. Thank you so much for a wonderful and heartwarming story. Kelly ![]() From: Gerry Burnie (author@twoirishlads.net) Home page: http://www.twoirishlads.com May 10 2008 Hello I am the author of Two Irish Lads, and I wish to extend my sincere welcome and thanks for visiting their site. In many ways this is their personal story as they ‘described’ it to me while I worked on the manuscript, so I am pleased for them that it has finally been told. If you haven’t read their story yet, I hope you will consider purchasing a copy of the novel so that you can follow their adventures in this new land as I did. If you have read their story, I do hope you will share your opinion of it—as others have already done on the “Readers’ opinions” page. The Two Irish Lads is now available (online) in Canada, U.S.A., U.K., Ireland, Scandinavia, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, South Africa, and Japan [see the “other locations” link on the homepage]. For people living in Orillia (my hometown) there should be a limited supply coming to Manticore Books soon, and possibly to Smithsbooks—if I can get the supply issues worked out with Chapters/Indigo. Regards, Gerry Burnie. ![]() |
