After my posting in May I heard from my best bud in 65. I never expected to hear from anyone but to hear from him was something else. We have e-mailed and talked on the phone. After 45 years it was great. I couldn't have asked for a greater gift. He found me on the web site but not a member. Keep up the good work.

Hi Brothers, It was a honor to be at Fort Knox, May 15th with everyone. It was so nice to see alot of you again and some of you I haven't seen for over 40 years. C Co. had a great turn out. I consider being a Veteran of the 19th a great honor. God Bless our brothers that are on the Fort Knox Memorial and their families, and it was an honor to see and talk to the families that could be their.

Hi Brothers ! I haven't checked into the guestbook in a few weeks.
I was glad to see a message from someone I know and remember from A Co. of the 19th. Dick Bates ? Is that you out there ? I transferred into A. Co. from HQ Co. and got there in June of '70. I was with them until they retired the colors in December '70 and then went up to C Co. of the 39th at Chu Lai. Dick, if you remember the '' War Wagon '' in A Co. you rode as SGT. with John Driggers, Hal Smith ( Smitty ) and Jim Lozano. I was the tall, thin guy who was your radio man on a lot of the trips up and down Blao Pass, out on the road and in the convoys. You and John Driggers went up to C Co. with me after the 19th went home. I was the guy who played a lot of guitar when we were just hanging out when we were off the road. I hope you can remember me Dick. I met up with Larry Bowlin here in the guestbook about a year ago and we stay in touch. Larry was with A Co. at the same time we were there and we've been trying to track down some of the guys who were with A Co. at that time. You may also remember Larry. It's been a long time but if I remember correctly, you were from Arizona ? I was from New York State. I'll tell Larry that I saw your email in here. It would be nice to hear from you again in the guest book or to get an email from you. Take care !
Denny.

Greetings !
My good friend Larry Bowlin and I served together in A Co. of the 19th between April and December of 1970. The colors were retired in December of that year and anyone left was reassigned to other Engineer groups if they didn't have enough time in country to get back to the world.
We are trying to get the message out to anyone who served in A Co. during that time to contact this site and let us know how you are. If you're out there guys, sign in and say hi. If anyone knows anyone who served with A Co. during that time, let them know about the 19th's site and urge them to visit.
Take care and be well Brothers !
Denny.

I am an investigator for a law firm that handles VA disability claims of all kinds. We represent Hillard Cummings, MOS 64B = Hvy Veh Dr. He was based @ Camp Smith fr Jan, '70/Dec, '70, w/572nd. I wld like to speak with anyone that remembers Cummings. I have been in contact with Biggerstaff & Gottfried. Wondering if anyone can tell me the date of the chopper crash in the concertina wire @ Camp Smith. I believe it to have happened between April and June, 1970. Also would be interested in knowing any other detail, etc., regarding that crash. We do have a web site; www.lawyers4veterans & if you would rather call our toll free # is 800-953-6224.
