I don't think there is a link but one always lives in hope.
I am looking for the family of Thomas(1803-1845?) and Annie Matilda Freebody (nee Benton (1807- 1885) Their first son Thomas (1833-1891)came to Australia in about 1853. They seem to be London based
I would delight if there was any information available.

Hello,
Great site, really interesting especially with the photo's. I married into the family and have spent some fascinating time researching Peter FREEBODY'S family and their life on the Thames. I've placed their tree on Ancestry.co.uk. It's still being updated, I'll never finish it all.

Hi Graham!
Just wanted to say this site looks very interesting. I'm drawing up a family tree for my mother-in-law for Christmas, and on her maternal side she had a Simon Freebody who was transported in 1790 to Australia, and became an original Hawkesbury River (Windsor) settler. He had a son Simon (Cooma, NSW) who then had a son Francis (Cooma, NSW) who was a poet and foundation member of the Shearer's Union. Thought this may be of o\interest in some way.
