Hi. glad to have read your story. You are just super. I am 55 and received my Heart on Jan 16, 2006. I too have been battling with the CMV virus. It has been 10 months now. I am hopeful. However, after reading your story, I really believe I will be the CMV as you have. Thanks for your strength and courage. Have a very nice Easter. Rebeccca

Lucy,
You are a beautiful girl and a wonderful inspiration. I teach 12th Grade Human Anatomy in Georgiana, Alabama, United States. I saw your montage on YouTube and would like to show it to my classes to encourage my students to become donors. We are studying the human heart. Because my school blocks YouTube, your Mum would need to email me the video. My students would love to get to know you. Several of them are planning on being doctors. You are an inspiration to us all.
Thank You,
Tammy Pickard

Hi Lucy and family
My name is Rachel and I have just been informed I will be being an elf to Ben this Christmas - I'm really excited as it's my first time!!
You are a very special little girl and seem very brave. It's going to be great getting to know you all.
I am a mum to 4 children and we live in Wales. They are all in bed at the moment but tomorrow I will show them your homepage so they can get to know you and your family. I'm sure Zoe and Bradley, the oldest 2, will want to say 'hi' and send you lots of messages too!
Can you tell me a bit about your brother so we can buy him some cool presents this Christmas? What he likes to do, his favourite colours and if he likes any TV characters, what age clothes does he wear etc..
Look forward to hearing from you soon and hope we can all become friends.
Take care
lots of love,
Rachel & Kevin, Zoe, Bradley, Millie and Coby

Hello Lucy, you don't know me but i just needed to send you a message to tell you how brave an ispirational you are. I'm sure you get lots and lots of people telling you this. I came across you on the live life and give life myspace and was amazed by your story. I have just turned 18 and was assessed for a double lung transplant last year because i have fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension but unfortunatly i can't have a transplant because of a very rare disease i have in my blood. Im still soldiering on though on oxygen and still dream of one day recieving my 'gift of life'. Keep smiling, you are an amazing little girl.
All my love

Hello Lucy and co,
Just had to drop you a line when I read your most recent update. I can't believe a whole year has flown by since you received your new heart. It seems only yesterday that we were logging on every five minutes to see how things were going with your surgery and recovery. It's just amazing isn't it. It goes without saying that we're so pleased you're doing so well - and that those rotten daily IVs have stopped! Hoping we get some more warm weather soon, so you can tick a few more 'firsts' off that list! Lots of love to your folks. With our love, Alison, Pete and Charlie xxx

Hey there Lucy! Thanks for the message on my blog - I'm SO glad to hear you're feeling better and that things have settled down enough for you to have a holiday. You're really lucky going camping - I'm itching to sleep in a tent, but Mummy's not too keen on the idea - she keeps going on about bugs, no toilets and not having a plug for her hairdryer! (What's she like eh!) I think I'm going to win eventually though - I just need to persuade Daddy to buy me a tent! Seriously though, we're all so glad to hear you're feeling better, and we love the new picture of you on your website - very glamorous, I thought! Take care now, I'm still hoping to catch up with you this year - don't forget, I want you to read me another story! Lots of love to you and all your family (tell your mum and dad that my mum and dad say hi!), Charlie xxx

Hey Lucy...I had my Heart transplant on April 15, 2007. February of last year was a shock when I learned I had Congestive Heart Failure. Me, no way. I was feeling horrible since Fall of 2005. It was a long road in and out of the hospital. Finally I was at the point when I was put on the Heart transplant list. The miracle was when I received the phone call four days later. So Lucy hang in in there we are on the same road after the transplant.

Hey Lucy, I'm so sorry to hear you're all having such a difficult time at the moment. It must be a nightmare having to go off to the hospital every day, for you and your family. I really hope that everything gets sorted out very soon and that they will let you have your IVs at home so you can get back to enjoying life, and maybe get away for a little holiday! We still think of you every day, lots of love, Charlie xxx
