What a wonderful way to spend my Saturday browsing through your website and reading your musings.
My mind is flooded with memories of my stay on the islands. It hard to imagine that after 37 years, not a day goes by when I don't think of my time there.

We are up for a grant from People's Millions and we will be featured on the ITV's regional news show on the 27th November and need your votes to help us win the grant! The phone lines open at 9.00am on the 27th November and close at midnight the same day. Our feature will go out that evening on the ITV regional evening news and we will be head to head with another project, results will be announced the following day. We need your vote to get us through and win £30,000 to help us finish building our community centre! The voting line number will be listed in the Daily Mirror on the 27th November and detailed on the ITV regional news I'll also post it on www.Scillywebcam.com

Dear Ceri
like many others here, I remember your Mum well, part of my childhood, she was kind, I always felt welcome in your home at garrison lane and then when I was scraped off the road at sunnyside corner after a motorbike accident she was the nurse at the hospital that I was so pleased to see, my thoughts are with you, Des and all the rest of the family.

A message to all on Scilly that knew my mother, Muriel Hodgkiss. Sadly Mum passed away yesterday morning after spending four months in hospital in great pain. She always had fond memories of her life on Scilly and the many friends that she still has. Thank you to all who were such good friends to Muriel.

Message to all from Sam and Jan Guy
'Sorry this is arriving 2nd hand but our ISP seems to have disowned us. So far we have managed to get halfway around the world without being arrested. Weather has not been too bad, although we have managed a gale in every ocean so far.
We have rounded South Australia and returned a few escaped convicts to the penal colony! Now heading back north so we can say we are homeward bound.'

I have spoken to them around Australia as comms have been down and they are having a wonderful time. Mum is making good use of the sea sickness wristbands, but they are working! I think they now know why Auntie Brenda kept on cruising!
